I turned 27 yesterday. Everyone says this is suppose to be a good year. But they say that about every birthday. 26 was an interesting year, I did a lot of growing. Things that were important then aren't anymore and the same goes for when I look back at when I was 16. My dad use to always tell me something really interesting whatever I was worried, when I would cry about boys or friends or whatever my silly mind was sad about  he's laugh and said this doesn't matter..I mean having a boy I liked kiss another girl at a party was a HUGE DEAL... haha I wanna laugh when I think of all the stuff that use to upset me...

  I'm really excited for this new chapter. A brand NEW YEAR!  Kicking it off in a shirt I picked up on one of my daily walks. 
I feel like this shirt is perfect for starting 27 off on the right foot.

Summer in the citay. Thankfully we have some beaches pretty close to escape to while the intense creeps up on us. While I wait for my zipcar card to get mailed to me I'll just pretend I'm already there in this EXPRESS 70's inspired dress. Been wearing different variations of this dress whenever I want to shop, it's an easy take on & off dress.

Even though summer has just begun I feel like the next couple of months are going to be amazing! I like to start off the new season with new clothes as I'm sure most people do. I love the feeling of putting on a new t-shirt. Also my style is constantly evolving.

As much as I love shopping and roaming the street looking for the perfect "something" it's just easier to go online... let's face it you can find anything online and usually for a better price!

Last weekend was probably the best weekend I'd had an a long time. Gov Ball was amazing, the line up was  ridiculously good, Florence and the Machine killed it and seeing Bjork play for the first time was pretty rad.

I can't think of a better way to end May then my trip to Barcelona with Diesel for the Primavera Sound festival.  This was my second time in this beautiful city and hopefully not my last. Although for my own health I should probably just steer clear of cities with amazing tapas since when I travel I eat everything in site.

I always say If you're going to go to a music festival than bring a friend, which is why I forced Serena to come with me. Not a lot of forcing was involved actually.

Working with Diesel as their Denim Eye ambassador was such an amazing opportunity, my head is still spinning from all the wonderful memories I made in Barcelona and the new friends I made. If you followed me on Snapchat (trop_rouge) than you probably saw snippest of The Strokes concert  and Patti Smith's set which was pretty unforgettable, also she looks amazing....so same.

I wore head to toe Diesel the entire festival which really brought me back because I remember when I was in high school all I wanted was a pair of Diesel's because that's what all the cool kids wore.  having a pair of Diesel jeans was basically the essence of my well being...

I never got a pair cause I didn't have a job and my mother was not keep on spending money on something she thought I would either lose...or get dirty.

But now I have like 5 pairs so there.

Sunglasses are the biggest accessory at any festival. The #Denimeye sunglass collection is all about denim which is fine by me since that basically my favorite fabric. The collection as whole really touches that inner rebel spirt without throwing it in your face, I love the edgy details on each piece, the shorts happen to be one of my favorite pieces mainly cause of the studding.

If you're a New Yorker or just love music in general than you're probably getting ready for Gov Ball today, I'll be kicking the festival off with Missguided, their festival collection is right up my alley. With so many great pieces to chose from, Missguided has always been my go to for festival gear or basically anything at all. 

Gov ball is one of my favorite festivals cause it's right here in New York so today couldn't have came any sooner.
