Getting dressed up and having friends over for drinks is what the holidays are all about, especially when that means being home and spending time with my family! If you've been following me on Snapchat or Instagram then you might have guessed I'm in France. I'll be ringing in the New Year with my girlfriends in Biarritz. This will be the first New Years we are spending together in over 8 years!! There are so many of us it's hard to be in one place at the same time, don't know how we figured it out but somehow we did! 

Having the perfect dress is pretty important since this is an important day n'all, I picked out this Rachel Zoe holiday party dress from Lord & Taylor. The detailed collar on this dress is simply gorgeous, exuding a really 60's sorta flair to it and the kitty flats, well this is as close as I'm getting to owning a real live animal. This is such a fun post for me for two reasons, first off it's the first shoot that's been taken living in my new place (and if you've been following along this is a big deal for me) and the second reason being a shop within Lord & Taylor I just discovered called Brand Assembly which focuses on emerging designers from around the world! I absolutely adore new underrated designers. Both my sweater and trousers are from Brand Assembly.

I paired this outfit with some retro-inspired B by Brian Atwood heels available exclusively at Lord & Taylor. They just came out and I was lucky enough to snatch a pair. And since I've been doing nothing but watching re-runs of the Kardashians, I bought a little pom-pom purse accessory from his collection as well - obviously so I could be more like Kylie...or is it Khloe ?

The past couple of days have been super grey and not very inspiring. This

BCBGeneration poncho from Lord & Taylor sure has lifted my spirits. If

you've been following me for a while then you probably already picked up

on my love for 70's inspired pieces. I love anything with a vintage touch, not

to mention adding color to a darker outfit makes these grey city days a little

less of a drag. This jumpsuit from Lord & Taylor is so comfortable and easy

to slip on and off. I can wear it anywhere, including around the house since

that's what most of my nights consists of these days! But when I feel like

being social, I throw on these awesome Rachel Zoe loafers to dress up the

outfit a bit.

It's been a lot of work moving and figuring out what to do with all my stuff

but thankfully it’s happening during my favorite season, Fall. One reason

why I love this season is because I really feel as if I truly tap into my more

feminine side in cooler weather. This Yigal x Design Lab

jumpsuit from Lord & Taylor has a much more delicate silhouette which in

the past is something I might not have picked up but I really loved the

flowiness of it all. Personally, my favorite tip for fall is to try new styles. I've

changed so much this year so why not switch up my style as well?
